Happy New Year from Adventures in the Kitchen!
What a year 2008 was. It was the birth year of this blog and held many cooking adventures for me.
I hope to improve my writing on this site and provide more interesting photos. I want to focus on tasty but inexpensive meals and on cooking light. Well, at least for some of the meals. I plan to become a Barefoot Blogger as I love Ina Garten recipes. I tried being a part of a few other blogging communities but could not keep up with weekly postings. At Barefoot Blogger’s it is two recipes a month. You will have to hold me accountable.
Many other food blogs provided me with inspiration. 101Cookbooks was one of the first sites I discovered along with Nosh With Me, a Los Angeles blogger. I discovered another So Cal blogger Joy the Baker and regularly drool over what she dishes up.
Smitten Kitchen has great recipes and a great writing style. She even made it on Martha’s show about blogging.
The Pioneer Woman Cooks makes me yearn for a cowboy to cook for. Check out her photos. She is quite talented.
