Breakfast is often my favorite meal of the day and the key to starting the day off right. When I was asked by General Mills to create a recipe using their new Frosted Toast Crunch® cereal I thought of a breakfast parfait.
The cereal reminds me of when I was a little girl and loved sprinkling a little sugar across my toast. At my grandmothers house she had turbinado or raw sugar which made it extra crunchy. They have taken that taste and turned it into a new cereal.
This parfait layers greek yogurt, berries, and the cereal. The flavors blend well and the cereal gives it that crunch I get from granola. For a special brunch or just for fun, layer it in a push-up pop.
- 2 cups Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup Frosted Toast Crunch® Cereal
- 1/2 cup blackberries
- 1/2 cub blueberries
- In a bowl mix the yogurt, honey and cinnamon together.
- Line 4 cups with a layer of Frosted Toast Crunch cereal.
- Add 1/4 cup Greek yogurt and top with Frosted Toast Crunch cereal and a layer of berries. Repeat with yogurt, cereal and berries. Keep chilled until ready to serve.
