Fourth of July Star Cookie Cake
It is Fourth of July and here is a photo step by step of how to make a star cookie cake using Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Dough. Let’s be honest – I am not going to be a master cake or cookie decorator anytime soon but it makes a cute little cookie for a holiday party.
First you need a package of Pillsbury Sugar dough, roll out and then using 3 star cookie cutters in graduated sizes cut out the stars.
Place on baking sheet and bake 10 – 12 minutes. Make flooding icing. Here is a good tutorial.
Dip in flooding icing.
Let dry completely.
Place on a rack over a baking sheet to allow excess icing to drip off. Sprinkle the top cookie with sprinkles.
