Cooking is technique-driven! Our Cooking Basics 101 is what you need if you’re ready to cook with confidence, make healthier and tastier choices, and save money and time. This 3 week hands on workshop will help you build a repertoire of essential culinary techniques. You’ll cover knife skills, mise en place, sautéing, roasting, grilling, sauce making, vinaigrettes that you can build on going forward, and you will utilize for the rest of your life.

THIS CLASS MEETS EVERY MONDAY EVENING
For 3 weeks; 6:00 – 9:00pm
Day 1:Knife Skills: Soups & Salads. Sharpen your knife skills and learn to make four classic dishes that make perfect lunches and sides (while learning two awesome do-ahead dressings). Field Greens with Champagne Vinaigrette; Spiced Peanut Noodle Salad, Farmers Market Chopped Salad, Tuscan Vegetable Soup, Tomato Bisque.
Day 2: Meats:& Poultry: Learn to use various parts of the chicken and the basic of meat. Moroccan Ouzo Braised Chicken with Orange Scented Couscous, Tri-tip with Salsa Verde, Balsamic Raspberry Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Polenta & Caramelized Onions,
Day 3: Fish & Grains: Spiced Salmon Kebabs with Yogurt Dipping Sauce, Slow Roasted Salamon with Tomatoes and Basil, Pan-Sauteed Mahi Mahi Tacos with Fresh Pineapple and Cilantro Mint Pesto, Chipotle Style Rice, Coconut Quinoa with Grilled Pineapple
