Baked Kale Chips Recipe

Lately I have been watching what I eat and even trying a great detox where I lost 11 pounds in a month. Two months later I still have the 16 pounds off! In the process I have been trying to identify healthy alternatives to the food I normally might gravitate too. When cooking is a passion it can be challenging at times.

Kale is a super food and thought to be one of the must have foods in your diet. Being a bit of a picky eater I thought I would try Kale Chips. I was pleasantly surprised to find how much I enjoyed them. I remembered seeing them pop up in various blog posts awhile back so I went off to do my own experiment.

I took the washed Kale and and ripped it up. Since I found you can buy a bag at Trader Joe’s already washed and torn. I let the kale dry on paper towels. Then I placed them on a silpat lined baking sheet.

On one half I gently tossed with a little bit of olive oil and then sprinkled with parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes and salt. The other half I lightly tossed in a sweet and spicy vinaigrette.

The were really good. Addicting too! You will find your self dipping in for just one more! I served these at my launch party for Arbonne, I decided to sell the products I had fallen in love with and these chips were the hit of the party. Everyone wanted the recipe so now you can bake your own kale chips at home!

In full disclosure I went through the 30 day fit essentials program and was very pleased with the results. I lost weight and felt so much better. I started using their other skin products and decided to share with others, who have also enjoyed the results. You won’t be hearing much about it hear on AIK but if you want more information feel free to Email me .

I will be at BIOLA 2011 Friday from 4:30 to 7:30 pm with cooking demos and yummy full treats. Stop by the booth and say hi!
