This is the best apple cake I have ever had. I bake it in a springform pan. The apples make it so moist that it stays that way for a week. This is a great dessert anytime, but I love to make it in the fall, when apples are at their best. You will bake this again and again and accept all the rave reviews.

This is the same recipe as Magnolia Bakery, only theirs is in two 9" pans - their frosting recipe is not wonderful so I'm dying to try this glaze...the cake is easy to make...if you use 9" pans use parchment on the bottom...

That sounds delicious. I've been wanting to bake with apples for a couple of weeks but haven't done it yet. I kind of want to try recreating my grandmother's applesauce cake (the recipe has been lost unfortunately) but I haven't been able to do it... it seems too big. Maybe I should start with something easier? Maybe I'll start with this cake...
