Tomorrow is August 1, where has the summer gone? I spent last weekend at the San Diego Comic Con. I am telling you, the people watching doesn’t get any better than that place. Fresh Cherry Lime Tart

I love cherries. They say summer to me. I love both the Bing and Rainer cherries. Just seeing them makes me happy. There is nothing better than sitting with a bowl of cherries. Mixed Greens & Radicchio with Parmesan Balsamic Vinaigrette

With it being so hot this last week I find myself less hungry and having little desire to turn the oven on. The being less hungry is a good thing. Mexican Cream Corn

I was playing around in the kitchen today and decide to spice up cream corn. There are two restaurants here in Orange County that serve up delicious cream corn, Gulliver’s and The Summit House. Caprese Salad

Two years ago I was in Italy around this time of year. A group of friends went to stay in a villa in Tuscany. Ok, villa makes it sound so grand. Corn Salad with Jalapeno Lime Vinaigrette

Summer is full of fresh vegetables and fruit. There are so many options that are both simple and fresh. Corn is one of my favorite summer treats. I love fresh sweet corn right off the cob. It is great in salads and this is one of my new favorites. The tangy jalapeno lime vinaigrette with the sweet corn is amazing. I am bringing this our family get together for the fourth of July.
