I want to make this for Thanksgiving, and don't want to over cook. I want the meant to look just like the picture. I'm a big Ina fan, I love her recipes. I actually made this last year, but i put two 4 lb filets in the oven at the same time, as i was serving about 15 people, and it was good, but it took a lot longer than 22 minutes to cook. My nephew, who owns a restaurant happened to have a grill pan in his car, and we finished the cooking on the stovetop. It probably took so long because I had two filets in the oven at the same time, and placed them in the same pan, side by side. was the filet in the picture cooked to medium rare, or rare?
